BRIEF: Va. Beach woman found dead in car, gun nearby

Mar 19, 2011 (The Virginian-Pilot - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman who was found in a car early Friday.

According to a news release, Emergency Communications received a call at 2:08 a.m. that a vehicle had hit a business sign at 808 Lynnhaven Pkwy.

When authorities arrived, they found the body of a female lying across the front passenger's seat and bleeding from the head. When medics moved the body, they found a gun.


The victim was identified as Lauren Broom of the 2800 block of Bluebill Drive.
