TMC's 2011 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award Presented to Sonus' Centralized Policy and Routing Server

TMC (News - Alert), a global integrated media company, presented the 2011 Communications Solutions Product of the Year award to the Sonus’ Centralized Policy and Routing Server, the Sonus PSX.


TMC analyzed the field performance of solutions which also demonstrated vision and leadership in the communications industry during the calendar year 2011 and honored the solution that came on top with this award.

Dubbed as the central element in Sonus’ SBCs, the Sonus PSX is a highly scalable softswitch that controls the interworking of circuit-based and IP-based media streams at the media gateway and provides both policy and routing services. By employing multiprocessor configurations and load sharing across multiple PSX systems, the solution delivers scalability and its sophisticated routing analysis supposedly enables a wide range of services including toll-free, least-cost routing, number portability, voice VPN, SIP trunking, emergency services and a host of additional high-value capabilities.
