AirTouch Communications Announces Purchase Orders for Smartphone Router SmartLinX

October 12, 2012

AirTouch Communications, a supplier of wireless telecommunications devices, has announced purchase orders for the SmartLinX "super router” that enables smartphone users to “keep the cord” or landline, enhancing the signal quality of calls amongst other benefits.

Officials with AirTouch Communications said that the purchase orders represent sales of 30,000 SmartLinX units by two vendors in the U.S. and one in Ecuador totaling sales proceeds of approximately $2,600,000.

The company expects to begin fulfilling the orders in the fourth quarter of 2012.

"We are very excited about the interest in SmartLinX and the momentum we are gaining both domestically and internationally for deployment of our SmartLinX products by both service providers and distributors," said Hide Kanakubo, CEO, AirTouch, in statement

"These orders of our SmartLinX are very encouraging and we expect this upward trend to continue as we enter additional markets and expand the Air Touch brand of products, both SmartLinX and HomeConneX internationally," said Kanakubo.

In addition to enhancing clarity, even in areas where signal quality is weak, SmartLinX saves mobile minutes by using the consumer’s landline rather than cellular plan. SmartLinX is powerful and versatile, enabling users to dial smartphone contacts directly through their landline while pairing up to eight smartphones on one base unit.

SmartLinX is also a smart solution for home-based and small businesses, serving up to eight smartphones, with the ability to turn a smartphone into a virtual two-line phone, and built-in conference/intercom functions. In addition, SmartLinX can be used as a traditional landline phone even when no smartphone is present.

Back in June, AirTouch Communications announced that TeleDynamics, a supplier of telecommunications products, intends to distribute SmartLinX products throughout retail outlets in the United States.
