Acme Packet (News - Alert), a major player in session delivery network solutions, has made additions to its senior sales team.

The company has appointed Paul Wilson as vice president for APAC sales, and Vin La Rocca as vice president for North American enterprise sales.

Eric Rapisarda will also join the company as vice president of enterprise product management and marketing.

"The Acme Packet team is very excited about the additions of these top-notch players, each of whom brings substantial industry experience and a reputation for delivering results," said Andy Ory , CEO, Acme Packet, in a statement

"We are confident that their capabilities will prove to be powerful assets for Acme Packet as we expand our focus on the rapidly growing opportunities in the Asia-Pacific and enterprise markets," said Ory.

Wilson with 27 years of experience in telecommunications and IT business and market development joins the Acme Packet team from Riverbed (News - Alert) Technology, where he worked as APAC manager of the Cascade Business Unit.

La Rocca comes to Acme Packet from communications solutions and services provider Avaya (News - Alert), where he served as vice president of northeast, global accounts and service provider sell to. He also led North America at Avaya as president of field operations.

Rapisarda joins Acme Packet from EMC (News - Alert), where he served as director of global solutions, focusing on developing new offerings for high-growth markets. Prior to that, he served as senior manager in EMC's strategic planning and advisory group.

Earlier in September, Acme Packet  announced that MTN (News - Alert) Cyprus Ltd, one of the largest telecommunications providers in Cyprus, is using Acme Packet’s Net-Net Session Director session border controllers (SBCs) to deliver SIP trunking services to business customers, and to enable SIP interconnects to other service providers.
