NICE Receives Microsoft Lync Certification

October 23, 2014

NICE Systems (News - Alert), an Israel-based company that provides businesses with telephone voice recording software, uses its Trading Recording product to help financial institutions record and analyze telephone calls made on trading floors.

Now, businesses can utilize that same software in their offices though Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync. NICE recently announced that its recording software has received Lync qualification, which ensures that the same functionality enterprises find on trading floors will reach their offices. The software can sync with Lync to record all conversations flowing through that communications platform. Dan Benedict, program manager of Lync Independent Software Vendor Developer Programs at Microsoft, provided a quote concerning the inclusion of NICE in Microsoft support.

“Our partners are helping us to extend the Lync 2013 software platform with applications that meet an expanding variety of business and communications needs,” Benedict said. “The qualification of financial trading floor tools, such as the NICE Trading Recording solution, allows us to support our Lync customer requirements with the highest levels of functionality and usability.”

Yaron Morgenstern, general manager of NICE, also commented on the situation. He said that NICE products have already been deployed on many trading floors across the globe. Like NICE, Lync is already widely deployed in the business world, so the combination of the two entities can arguably make sense to the expansion of both sets of software. If nothing else, this certification allows NICE to make more headway in the financial sector.

This is, however, only one part of the NICE portfolio. It also provides software that deals with speech analytics and real-time authentication. It recently showed off its newest products at the ITEXPO (News - Alert) that took place in Las Vegas in August. In all those avenues of business activity and development, NICE authorities say the company is dedicated to providing high-quality products for its customers. The latest inclusion with Microsoft systems establishes that notion within finance and can potentially help present users of Lync more apt to take a look at NICE systems for their recording needs.
